Sometimes I think Nicole Kidman doesn't get the recognition she deserves for her complete dedication to her craft and her willingness to whatever the role requires of her. When she goes into a role she goes into it 100 %, even if it includes peeing on a hot young guy... She was awesome and sexy in Far and Away and almost creepy in The Hours, but nothing will prepare you for the infamous urination scene from her new movie The Paperboy.In the new movie, Kidman's character Charlotte chooses to urinate on Jack, played by Zac Efron, after he is attacked by a jellyfish. there's an urban myth that says the ammonia in human urine works well to counteract jellyfish stings.
When asked whether the scene was difficult to film by V magazine, Kidman replied: "The peeing thing, I didn't think was that weird, because I was in character. That was for the jellyfish. And for me it said so much about Charlotte. One, she's protecting him. Two, she's tough as nails and no one else is going to pee on this guy."
That's right, no one else i going to pee on your guy! Say what!?!#$?
The Paperboy is an adaptation of a 1995 novel by author Pete Dexter. Matthew McConaughey stars as a reporter who investigates the events surrounding a murder in order to exonerate a man on death row. Efron co-stars as his younger brother, while Kidman plays the prisoner's fiancé and Macy Gray appears as the Narrator.
The film, directed by Lee Daniels of Shadowboxer and Precious, received mixed reviews when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May (2012).
However, Kidman killed it and received much praise for her performance as Charlotte and the urination scene was widely reported in the media. - scroll down to watch the trailer.
