BEST HALLOWEEN PARTY EVER AT LOS GLOBOS!

Iheartcomix threw one of the best Halloween bashes of the year last Friday the 26th at Los Globos.   The event titled Homo-ween included an eclectic mix of sounds ranging from techno, to electro, hip-hop and culminated with an outstanding performance by Kansas City's Missouri's electro-pop outfit Ssion.

When the clock struck midnight, Ssion took the stage and set the place ablaze. The freak-scene collective led by charismatic mastermind Cody Critchelow had everyone convulsing with delight and singing every song from their new album Bent, at the top of their lungs. think  His airy and inviting voice lured everyone to the stage,

Critchelow swaggered across the small stage like a pro interacting with the eager fans and even taking song requests. When it came time to perform "Earthquake" it also became time for a haunted frenzy where people danced so hard their make up and costumes came flying off.  It continued with the brightly upbeat "My Love Grows in the Dark". Nobody cared, the crowd was hooked and wouldn't stop until the last song was played. Endorphins were bursting everywhere it was amazing!

The band also offered campy over-the-top videos as part of their trademark performance. That night the venue didn't lend itself to heir elaborate stage shows involving gaudy sets and costumes, but still managed to give one hell of a performance and pack the place to capacity.

For those unaware of Critchelow's creative abilities, his extra curricular credits include album  art for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, music videos for band like the liars, Peaches among others.
The place was crawling with indians, vampires, mermaids, clowns and so much more. At some point the place to too crowded you could barely move an inch to the left of to the right but it didn't matter, in the end everyone had a bloody good night.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE APOLOGIZES FOR VIDEO THAT MOCKS HOMELESS PEOPLE

Someone is in trouble! At first I thought it was Justin, but the one in hot water is really his friend.  Seriously, right now Justin Timberlake should be in the middle of honeymoon bliss. He and his new bride, Jessica Biel, just pulled off an elaborate, and by all accounts, amazing week-long wedding extravaganza in southern Italy, during which they spared no expense and treated their guests like royalty. Instead, the groom is issuing a public apology after finding himself in the middle of a post-wedding scandal.
Days after their lavish nuptials, a video hit the Internet, which was made by the Timberlake’s longtime friend, Los Angeles real estate agent Justin Huchel, as an apparent wedding gift for the couple and was reportedly played at some point during the week-long celebration. The eight-minute “gag” recording featured Huchel on the streets of L.A. interviewing homeless people who “just couldn’t make it” to the reported $6.5 million wedding and instead sent their well wishes. One clip was of a toothless man, saying, “Justin and Jessica, I haven't seen you for a long time. I hope the wedding goes fine for you. My gift is in the mail.” The video, which was leaked to Gawker, was widely viewed as tasteless and insensitive for openly mocking the homeless. And Huchel wasn’t happy his “gift” was made public either. His attorney has threatened legal action against the website, demanding they remove the video and noting in the legal papers, “Mr. Huchel made [the] video to be used and exhibited privately at Justin Timberlake's wedding as a private joke without Mr. Timberlake's knowledge."
Apparently, not even Timberlake found the “private joke” funny. Early Friday he took to his blog to issue a 700-word apology for what he described as a “lapse in judgment.” Starting off by writing, “I don't live my life making fun of people ... especially, those who are less fortunate or those in need,” the 31-year-old noted, “I was always taught that we as people, no matter what your race, sex, or stature may be, are equal.” Referring to the video as “distasteful” and “unsavory,” he claimed he "had no knowledge of its existence" and " absolutely ZERO contribution to it.” And contrary to what his pal Huchel’s lawyer said, the video "was NOT shown at my wedding."

MOSTER CLAIMS FIVE LIVES!

This is spooky news! We never thought an “energy drink” could have a poorer public reception than Four Loko, but Monster appears to have landed in an even deeper ditch—and its products don’t even contain alcohol!
A certain big-deal organization known as the FDA just released a report asserting that as many as five people died over the past three years after drinking Monster. While the report draws no direct, indisputable link between Monster and the tragedies in question, we can all agree that this sort of story is is not good publicity for the drink company.
The victims, all of whom were teenagers, had a couple of crucial factors in common: each of them drank one or more 24-ounce cans of Monster less than 24 hours before dying of heart failure. The FDA also received multiple reports of consumers experiencing problems like “abdominal pain, vomiting, tremors and abnormal heart rate” after drinking Monster.

JULIA ROBERTS'S NIECE DRESSES LIKE PRETTY WOMAN FOR HALLOWEEN

Aunt Julia must be so proud!
Emma Roberts was among the many, many celebs flocking to Hollywood insider Mike Meldman's annual Halloween bash in Los Angeles on last night.
The "We're the Millers" actress, 22, hit the party with boyfriend, "American Horror Story" star Evan Peters, and channeled one of the most iconic movie characters of all time: Vivian Ward, the good-hearted prostitute immortalized by her aunt Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman," the smash 1990 film that made the actress, 45, a superstar. (Roberts was just 24 when was nominated for an Oscar for the role opposite Richard Gere.)
Specifically, Emma wore a blonde bob wig, knee-high leather boots, skimpy miniskirt and a white, midriff-baring tank top (featuring a gold ring that cinched the shirt to her skirt) as she held hands with Peters, who went to the bash as a cowboy.
Emma (whose actor dad Eric Roberts is Julia's older brother) has taken her very famous lineage in stride.
"I'm just doing my own thing," the "Scream 4" actress told Us Weekly in 2011. "I don't really compare it to what my aunt does, but I do admire her and love all her movies."
Inside the party, Roberts and Peters mingled with the likes of Paris Hilton, Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie, Rosie Huntington Whitely, Ryan Seacrest and girlfriend  Julianne Hough, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Dax Sheperd and fiancee Kristen Bell, Chris Martin, Derek Hough and others.

HOW MUCH MONEY DOES A BAND NEED!?

Muse, one of the biggest rock bands around talks about the ridiculous prices bands make audiences pay and reiterate that  they always try and keep their ticket prices as low as possible, saying there's "only so much money a band needs"

Speaking to the Daily Star about the price of The Rolling Stones tickets, bassist Chris Wolstenholme said: "We've always tried to keep prices as low as we can so people can come and watch us.? What's reasonable for one person isn't reasonable to another, but there really is only so much money a band needs."??

Fans were left disappointed after all 33,000 tickets to see legendary rockers The Rolling Stones sold out in minutes, despite costing between $100 and $500 each. Tickets to see the Stones in London are already listed on eBay with prices reaching $6000 for two tickets. Many other pairs of tickets are being sold for thousands each.

Guitarist Keith Richards has said that he hates charging "over the top prices" for tickets, but expects to pocket around £16 million from the shows.

Speaking about the prop in this week'sNME, which is on newsstands today or available online, singer Matt Bellamy says:
It's basically an upside-down pyramid which is a very symbolic gesture. A lot of people think the pyramid represents power structures, you know, in every walk of life. Anything from basic corporate structures with a top down system where CEOs take all the profit and get paid more than the people at the bottom, which is the kind of down to earth version, to the Illuminati, you know.

IHC PRESENTS A SUPER HALLOWEEN BASH THIS FRIDAY!

This Friday Los Globos will open its doors to offer a one-of-a-kind performance by Ssion as part of HEARTCOMIX’s HOMO-WEEN. HOUSE OF LEDOSHA, AB SOTO, & DJ JOSH PEACE will also provide beats that will make this event one bad-ass Halloween bash!
Kansas City, has gained notoriety not only for their gaIf you haven’t heard of the new act, Ssion is definitely one to look out for. The band, from y-disco-meets-punk-rock musical stylings, but for their outrageous stage shows. Add to an already explosive show some intricate videos, which incorporate a harem of dancers and backup singers, comically cheap home-made props, video projections, over-the-top costumes and make-up, and you are left with something recalling the twisted humor of Pee Wee’s Playhouse.

Another analogy woulf be traveling Danceteria meets Ziggy Stardust in 2012?! It is outrageous, melodic and it will, blow your mind!

These eccentric and beautiful freaks are the whole package. Ssion make their own videos and create intricate visuals during live shows. In fact they've also worked making videos for Gossip, Santigold, Peaches, and CSS among others.

If you have any doubts don’t hesitate to click on the links below and see what Ssion – (pronounced - SHUN) – is all about.

FRESH NEW BAND FORM ENGLAND! THE VACCINES CD REVIEW!

015715.jpgThe Vaccines are the new darlings of brit-pop. With their new release, The Vaccines Come of Age, the London based quartet is taking off where The Libertines left off. What does that mean? It means they are damn good!
The Vaccines Come of Age brings you a collection of 11 glowing tacks that spit out lyrics of raw teenage angst sprinkled with black comedy, exposing the groups personal right of passage.

As is to be expected with a young band in its shaping stages, this work charters into new waters. However, one thing that can be said of this album: there’s nothing forced or awkward. The sound is an honest rendition of a long and complex 18 months of life.

For example, in “Bad Mood” is a tight mush-inducer that takes a split second before drilling itself deep into your mind and taking root. They are hard, yet melodic -- tragic yet endearing. In the track “No Hope” the lead singer Justin Young croons: “Coming of age, I think it’s a problem…I hope it’s just a phase I’ll outgrow.”
Despite exploring a lot more sonic elements than its previous, mainline-hitting work, there’s still wonderful simplicity to the quartet’s second effort.

In “Teenage Icon,” Young sings: “I’m not magnetic or mythical/ I’m suburban and typical.”  Here they touch personal matters rather than chasing after long-legged beauties.

This record honestly blows my mind; there’s no way you can deny band’s increasingly skilful way around a melody. “Aftershave Ocean” and “All In Vain” are killer! They are poppy, yet bittersweet. Meanwhile, “Weirdo” is a recluse tune that’s somewhat grungy and slows the down the pace, exposing the band’s versatility.
The entire album pays homage to all the feelings of inadequacy and confusion that coming of age brings. It doesn’t sacrificing great hooks, robust baselines and ragged guitar strumming, and it will turn any place into a manic mosh pit.

The record isn’t the best of the best, but it is proof that great music is yet to come from The Vaccines. They may not be superstars, but their raw energy and sincerity will get them there eventually. After all, as Young said: “Great records are not perfect - they're human.”

KICK-ASS 2 IS ON THE WAY! SURPRISES REVEALED

'Kick-Ass 2' to feature 'astonishing' fight scene
How exciting is this! Kick-Ass 2 is on the way and will feature an "astonishing" fight scene starring Chloe Moretz's Hit-Girl, says creator Mark Millar. Apparently that's not the only surprise the new feature has in store for us...Mark Millar wrote the original Kick-Ass comic books and also serves as executive producer on the movies. He ecently posted on his website about a recent visit to the Kick-Ass 2 set.

Millar wrote: "Shot down to England last week for some time on the
Kick-Ass 2 set... As a producer, I've been watching a lot of this in the dropbox as it happens, but nothing compares to seeing Mother Russia (in the flesh) pounding Hit-Girl in the face in what WE KNOW is going to win MTV's Best Fight Scene Award already. I'm not kidding... this fight is unlike anything I've seen in cinema before. I'd watched the stunt team block it out a few weeks back, but this was astonishing."Additionally, the mastermind behind this hilarious and bloody comedy, revealed that the sequel is looking "a little darker and a lot bigger" than the original Kick-Ass film, but promised that it is "incredibly consistent with what came before". Released in 2010, the first film told the story of an ordinary teenager, played by Aaron Johnson, who reinvents himself a real-life superhero called Kick-Ass.

The film did not become a blockbuster but it has gained a cult following. I personally love it!
Kick-Ass 2 began filming in September (2012) and the official plot synopsis has since been revealed. In the sequel, Kick-Ass joins forces with a "badass" superhero called Colonel Stars And Stripes, played by Jim Carrey, but faces a threat from Red Mist, the character who betrayed him in the first film.

The sequel is being directed by
Jeff Wadlow, who also wrote the script based on Millar's original Kick-Ass 2 comic book.

TWILIGHT STARS PARTY AT DIVE BAR IN LOS FELIZ

Reunited: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson seen here in a picture from November last year. The couple have been pictured together for the first time since Stewart's affair in July at a bar in Los Angeles on Sunday nightKristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are back together. It turns out he's very much like his Twilight character and has forgiven his lady for blatantly CHEATING on him like he does in the movie. Since their new movie is coming out soon, could this be a publicity stunt or has Rob really forgiven Kristen...

Seen to the left in a picture from November last year. The couple have been pictured together for the first time since Stewart's affair in July at a bar in Los Angeles on less than a week ago.

It comes following reports the Twilight co-stars were out together on Saturday night at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont, according to Hollywoodlife.com.

But not long after they decided, to Ye Rustic Inn, a dive bar in Los Feliz. I'm assuming they went there because it is super dark, but not the place I'd expect to see these two.

Sources told ET that Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, spent more than four hours at the bar on Sunday and even 'cosied up to each other'.

They were joined by around 10 friends, according to onlookers and appeared in good spirits as the laughed and joked over drinks.

NICKI MINAJ CUSSED OUT MARIAH

Battle of the divas just went into over drive. recently Nicki Minaj shocked peeps during the "American Idol" auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina Tuesday, after cursing at Mariah Carey and threatening, "I'm gonna knock you out" ... but Mariah FIRED RIGHT BACK.

In the footage shot by TMZ, Nicki is obviously raging mad ... shouting, "I told them I'm not f*ckin' putting up with her f**kin' highness over there."

Mariah can be heard saying, "“Oh why, WHYYYY .do I have a three year old sitting around me?”

Carey continues, "I can’t see my kids, because you decided to act like a little crazy bitch and go all around the stage.”

Sources say Nicki later threatened to "knock out" Mariah ... but she said it before the video starts.

It all went down while the two were sitting at the judge's table ... with
Keith Urban sitting in between them and Randy Jackson sitting on the far end, next to Mariah.
