50 Cent has been hospitalized after he was involved in a
serious car accident last night (June 25).
According to US hip-hop website XXL, the rapper had been
taken to hospital after suffering injuries to his neck and back.
He has now undergone further tests and has been released
from hospital, along with his driver, with a source close to both revealing
that they are both "fine".
According to reports, the rapper, whose real name is Curtis
Jackson, was involved in a collision with a large 'Mack' lorry while travelling
in his sports utility vehicle on the Long Island Expressway in New York City at
just after 3am local time.
50 Cent is set to release his new album 'Black Magic' this
summer. The rapper has promised that the LP, which will be his fifth studio LP
and his first since 2009's 'Before I Self Destruct', will "shake things
up" when it arrives.
He previously slammed his label Interscope Records for
failing to release the album, telling fans that they had "dropped the
ball" and were "fucked up". He also threatened to leak a single
by fellow Interscope artist Dr. Dre as a way of taking revenge.
