The new album titled Peninsula, is the brain child of Denver Dalley, a singer songwriter who collaborates with Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes in the politically charged indie rock band Desaparecidos and is currently touring with Har Mar Supersar. Statistics, Dalley’s current
solo project, is an electronic-tinged gem, sprinkled with r&b, rock and
dance.The tracks fluctuate from futuristic
synth beats to introspective to futuristic funk-dance that invite you to loose
all inhibitions. In ‘Take The Lead’, he sings:
“Let me take the lead, will you trust in me, I got every things that you need.”
Think Jamiroquai meets, Michael Jackson. ‘Menu Screen,’ warps you into an icy
synth dream that is absolutely gorgeous.
‘Awake’ is another dancey track that fuses new wave with far out funk.
In short, this is a badass album! And you are lame if you don't get onto this, seriously!
