The long awaited opening of Echo Park Lake is here! Tomorrow
Saturday the 15h at 10 AM the City of Los Angeles will host a
community event to mark the re-opening of Echo Park Lake.
The entire community is expected to attend the park
throughout the day. Already many of the local residents are planning bbqs and parties to commemorate the reopening of the local park that has been closed for rehabilitation since 2011.
The lake serves as a detention basin in the City’s storm
drain system, but is better known for its multiple recreational benefits. Echo
Park Lake also plays host to community events, such as the Lotus Festival, The
Cuban festival and other events at Echo Park.
Echo Park is celebrating big tomorrow! WE GONNA P-A-R-T-Y!
