Rumors are, pop princess Katy Perry will be joined by rap royalty Missy Elliott during her Super
Bowl XLIX halftime show performance.
According to NME, Perry will become the latest act to play during the biggest
event in the American Football calendar on Sunday (February 1). According to
The Assosciated Press, Elliott will join Perry during the performance with an
anonymous "person famiiar with the plans" cited as a source.
Earlier this year it was revealed that Lenny Kravitz will
also appear with Perry. It is believed they will sing his single 'American
Woman' together.
Speaking in a press conference prior to her appearance at
the Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona Perry hinted at a guest that could
well be Missy Elliott. She told reporters that she will be joined by an
"old school" female artist. "When you hear the first ring of the
chord," Perry said, "I think jaws will drop and faces will
melt." Perry previously worked with Elliott on a remix of the 2011 single
'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)'
