BLACK LIPS LIVE IN LOS ANGELES THIS FRIDAY!

Atlanta garage rockers Black Lips are back in Los Angeles and ready to make the El Rey Theater tremble with the sounds of their new album 'Underneath The Rainbow.' The follow-up to 2011's 'Arabia Mountain' LP has 12 tracks and is as gritty, bold and fun as their last work.

Production work by Patrick Carney (Black Keys), as well as help from Dap Kings music director Tommy Brenneck took their lo-fi garage rock in a new direction adding more pop elements while keeping their cheeky essence. It’s still a little 60s, a little country, and a lot of rock.

Black Lips in their performance history have included (per Wikipedia):  “vomiting, urination, nudity, electric R.C. car races, fireworks, a chicken, and flaming guitars.”

That night the Lips will share the stage with their buds, The Coathangers, an all-female punk group also from Atlanta. If you haven’t heard of these girls you’re in for a killer treat!

These girls, with lashing guitars and brutal, stomping drums are going to make your heart throb. Their in-your-face attitude and playful energy are going to charm your pants off.

ZETH ROGAN V.S. JUSTIN BIEBER

Justin Bieber is so far up his ass he’s now criticizing his former mentor Usher in a leaked video of his court testimony in a court case brought against him by a photographer. Is it me or does he just look like to most arrogant little schmuck!

Bieber appeared at a court in Miami last Thursday (March 6) to defend himself in a case brought by photographer Jeffrey Binion. The photographer claims that Bieber ordered four of his bodyguards to forcibly remove the memory card from Binion’s camera after he took photos of Bieber outside recording studio ‘The Hit Factory’ in June 2013.

TMZ has released four clips totaling eight minutes from Bieber’s ridiculous five-hour testimony. In one clip, Bieber is asked about his former mentor Usher, who played a prominent part in Bieber’s early career. “Usher? Yeah, that sounds familiar,” said Bieber. “I was found on YouTube. I was instrumental in my own career.”

Bieber is due to appear in court on Tuesday in a separate case.

POP-PUNK GUITARRIST ACCUSED OF CHILD ABUSE & CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

What the hell? First Ian Watkins, the piece of shit singerof the Lost Prophets, gets busted for heinous acts against minors now this? WTF!?

Former New Found Glory guitarist Steve Klein was arraigned on charges including lewd conduct with a minor and possession of child pornography in December 2013, it has been revealed.

Billboard reported that Klein, who was kicked the F out of New Found Glory the day after his arraignment, appeared in San Luis Obispo Superior Court on December 12 last year where charges of two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 14, three counts of lewd conduct with a minor aged 14 or 15, one count of intent to commit a lewd act with a minor and one count of possession of child pornography were read out to him in the presence of his attorney.

Klein pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains free until his scheduled court appearances on March 20 and April 10. A statement given by Klein's attorney states that the that all charges relate to video chats he engaged in with females he met through an adult website and that the pornography charges relate to his possession of these videos.

"Steve is devastated by these accusations," says Debra White. "He has lost his band, his livelihood and his ex-wife continues to push for full custody of his children using this case as her pawn while he literally fights for his life. Despite this heavy hand, Steve remains strong and hopeful that he will be vindicated."

Klein had been a member of the US pop-punk act (pictured above) since they formed in 1997. In a statement published on their official website on December 13 last year, the band made it clear that Klein was asked to leave the band.

2 DEAD AND 23 INJURED AT SXSW

A man and woman were killed early this morning after a drunken driver fleeing from a check point crashed through barricades set up for the South By Southwest festival and struck the pair and others on a crowded street, police said.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said 23 others were injured, five critically, in the crash that happened around 12:30 a.m. as the driver tried to evade a pursuing police officer. One of the people who died was riding a moped that was hit by the motorist. The other fatality was an individual riding a bike. The chief said the man also hit pedestrians in front of a club that was emptying.

During a news conference Acevedo said that the motorist also struck a cab before crashing, jumping out of his car and trying to run. A pursuing officer shocked him with a stun gun and took him into custody.

The man, whose name has not been released, is now facing two counts of capital murder and 23 counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle.

This is a horrible tragedy; my prayers go out to the victims and their families.
